What Is ‘The Community?’

“The Community” is a shorthand phrase for the “Jedi Community” often spoken by Jediism/Realist  members who attend and participate in more than one Jediism/Realist groups.

There are usually two types of practitioners. Those who remain loyal and dedicated to just one group, chapter, temple.  And those who participate in many of the main and/or uncommon groups.

It is in the second trend of members who will commonly refer to ‘The Community’ in an effort to unify and represent the whole of the Jediism and Jedi Realist efforts rather than singling out just one as an all around representation of beliefs.

TOTJO is a large group and has been around for a long time. It could in some ways be considered its own type of community. But is not what people are referring too when referencing “The Jedi community” or “The community”

Here at Just Jedi we encourage our members to branch out and adventure to other groups, churches and temples for an all encompassing practice and experience we do our best to provide the information needed to explore these options.

Our Online Directory & Offline Directory for example is one way for our members to find other Jedi Groups. The Jedi Gatherings FB page is another way to connect and find Jedi for offline meetings.


Journal Entry

  • How many Jedi groups do you participate in? List them in your Journal and write a brief description about what you like about them and what you dislike about them.

What Is The Difference To Cos players?

We actually get this question a lot. From new members to the community as well as from interviewers such as but not limited to: Student Projects, news reporters and documentary directors.... What is the difference? This question is often asked because (While not a requirement)  it is not unheard of for Jediists t o wear Jedi robes, train with toy lightsabers, and adopt fictional references such as   “May The Force Be With You” into their practices or chosen social behavior amongst each other. You will find these practices at Jedi Gatherings for Knighting Ceremonies or Weddings and in cases like the Chicago Jedi who attend Con’s, flash mobs, workshop’s and charitable events in full jedi like attire in order to participate in their local communities and also to get the word out that they are there. There are also  Individual member who found a deeper meanings to wearing the jedi robe’s for practice s like meditations and ceremonies or personal comfort.

Just Jedi 2018 Just Jedi's Second Key Stone: The Tree's Branches Next are the Branches, reaching high up to the sky and spreading outwards - stretching towards new sun rays. The J.J.
